Loma Verde Camp Facilities
Self-Sustained Camp
Camp has electricity, running
hot and cold water, flush toilets, showers, cabins/dormitories that sleep a total of 40, large chapel for indoor gatherings, kitchen, dining hall, two picnic areas and an outdoor fire pit with seating. In addition there is volleyball, a large game field and a field available for extra parking. |
Dining Facilities
Kitchen and indoor dining hall for groups up to 90 - and outdoor picnic tables and a dinner bell. The kitchen has industrial sinks, refrigerator, freezer, and two commercial stoves with ten burners, two griddles, and three ovens.

Overnight Facilities
Boys and Girls dormitories each sleep 18 overnight campers. The dormitories and other cabins sleep a total of about 40. There is room for up to four RVs and/or tents. The maximum the camp can accommodate overnight is 70.
Dormitories have bunk beds, mattresses, and sheets. Campers bring pillows and blankets or sleeping bags. |
Chapel in the winter! Loma Verde is in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of New Mexico at an elevation of 7500 ft. The camp is closed in the winter.

Chapel in the summer! Loma Verde has pleasant daytime summer temperatures in the 70s and cool evening temperatures for campfires and comfortable sleeping.

Hiking and mountain biking are available in the vicinity.
There is a short loop trail on Loma Verde property to the cross on the hill.
The Mondragon Canyon trail (#660) starts less than .5 mile west
of Loma Verde and is an 8 mile hike uphill to the South Boundary Trail (#164).
The South Boundary Trail is a well-known 22 mile mountain biking trail.
There is also a 15 mile Mondragon Loop for hiking or mountain biking.
